Stephen Maynard
Stephen qualified into the pensions team as a solicitor in October 2009. He works on a large number of Schemes, both ongoing and discontinued in nature, of which Entrust is a trustee. Stephen has particular experience in dealing with Financial Assistance Scheme qualifying schemes, as well as schemes entering Pension Protection Fund assessment periods. In addition, he has been involved in drafting member communications, scheme specific funding negotiations and liaison with the Pensions Regulator and other regulatory bodies.
Stephen’s advisory work includes drafting deeds of appointment and amendment and advising on the implications of section 251 Pensions Act 2004 to pension schemes. He also provides support to the corporate team at Gateley in relation to pensions issues arising on mergers and acquisitions of companies.
Stephen is an associate member of the Association of Pensions Lawyers.
